A LITTLE DIFFERENT - BLINDEKUH

"Blinde Kuh" (blind cow), is German for the game Blind man's bluff. It's also the name of a unique restaurtant concept where you eat in the dark and are served by blind or partly blind waiters. Located in Zurich and Basel, you will experience a heightened sense of smell, touch, taste and hearing as you dine. Call us to book this 'eye opening' dining sensation for you.

HOT SPOT

HIP BERLIN

Just a short flight or train ride from Switzerland, Berlin is one of the hippest destinations in Europe. With two distinct sides to its character and a wealth of history, Berlin is evolving and on the rise, and with sexiness, youthfulness and creativity, you'll find plenty to do around each corner. For the cool kids try Luzia and Hotel Bar or stroll through Friedrichshain. Visit this city of prodigious energy and modern chic. Click here for our 4 day Berlin accomodation deal.

EAT: Tapas24, BARCELONA

Tapas24 — Diputació 269. The newest restaurant from Carles Abellán, is a hip and lively tapas bar that does some of the very best Catalan small-plate nibbles in the whole city. The varying menu features superb versions of classics such as ham croquettes, grilled sardines, fried baby squid, and steamed clams. Bear in mind that the siesta in the middle of the day is taken very seriously. Nothing seems to happen between about 12.30 pm and 4pm. The main meal of the day is dinner and it is invariably eaten anywhere between 9 pm and 1am each day.

THE DEAD SEA

The Dead Sea is fabled for it's healing qualities and has been a mecca for visitors for thousands of years however the Dead Sea itself is shrinking and it is estimated that by 2025 it will be completely dry unless humans intervene to pump water back in. Just in case, get there quick to dip in this bubbly salty water and experience the natural curative properties of the mineral rich spas and hot springs.

BARILOCHE

Often referred to as the Switzerland of South America, San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina is simply stunning. Set on Lake Nahuel Huapi at the foothills of the Andes, Bariloche can be enjoyed all year round. In summer enjoy outdoor activities such as water sports, hiking and sightseeing, whilst in winter the snow covered mountains provide a European style ski resort (including St Bernese dogs!) with one of the best views in the world.

VODKA MUSEUM

A unique opportunity to get acquainted with the Russian legend, vodka, which for centuries has been not only an attribute of daily life but also an integral part of Russian history. You're invited to discover the secrets of vodka making, centuries-old drinking traditions and the important role which vodka plays in Russian social life. This museum tour includes an excursion, tastings and lunch.
